This naturehouse is in the hamlet of Troncais in the center of this vast forest. Nearly 11,000 hectares of beautiful trees (mainly sessil oaks,deciduous and firs., and lakes ( for fishing and activities.) Bordered on either side of the forest plateau, are the rivers Cher (west) and the Allier (east). The self-contained apartment on the ground floor sleeps two in a standard size Double Four-Poster bed. There is an ensuite shower, wash hand basin,and toilet. The lounge has dining area. The sunny Kitchen is separate and there is a large cool entrance hall (ideal if you have a dog ) Outside is a terrace with stone wall boundary, table and chairs, portable barbeque, very pleasant and relaxing ,especially in hot weather to listen to the sound of water lapping against the wall. There are differing walks all around ,it will take about an hour to walk right around the purely fishing Lake. If you start in the right direction you can eventually come to the cafe/restaurant, for a drink or meal.
